Thanks man, i love it, covered 350 miles now. Any pics you would like taking?

Also I'm changing all the indicator bulbs and sidelights in the next couple of days to silver.

Hello everyone, only my third post or thereabouts.

Anyway, the wait is finally over. Been reading all threads with eagerness and have found them really helpful from what to look out for with panel gaps to satnav and i pod issues.

so my Chilli Red/ White viper stripes arrived minus the Chilli Pack! didnt notice initially as the auto aircon was there as were most of the toys. then noticed that the lights werent xenons and i had no interior light package. The Ipod doesnt work yet but had anticipated that. Oh and my Half cloth/ half leather was missing the leather half! only insignificant stuff then!

got it through work so gonna have words with the leasing company. How annoying?

Other than that its great. Coming from a Mini One its fantastic! cant wait for my commute home (Oxford to London) to try it all out.

more to come and pictures too when i have posted more posts.

nice to meet you all

What if you try putting a DVD in the Sat Nav slot with mp3's on it, does it play?

MINI adventures on hold

As of today, proud owner of CR/B R56 MCS ...

...for about two hours. Currently not so proud owner of S/S R53 MOs (MINI One Seven?) loan car. Puddle of engine oil outside my house is all that remains of my MCS ...

...sorry to bring bad karma to this thread. Hopefully I will be as happy as the rest of you again before too long.

Mine will be back at the dealers first thing tomorrow, as advised by emergency services. I have a fuel smell inside the car, but only after it has been running for about an hour and is then re-started.

Not impressed, after having to wait a month for fuel pump issues to be sorted, then having the electric mirrors break after two days. I still love it, but this is not good enough on a 20k car.

Cool car. Almost the same as the one I ordered. I didn't take the chrome exterior and have the 18" matt black JCW rims and chequered flag on the roof.

Can't wait to get mine

You have my sympathy. Still, I suppose this is the price we pay for being early-adopting guinea pigs . Mine is back on the road now, so hopefully I am back on the owners' roll call for good now (apparently it was a leaky gearbox, not a leaky engine).

Seems like lots of problems very early on on the Mk2s. some quit serious. maybe Peugeot or Citroen's are having trouble too!.....

collected our new R56 MCS friday but still without the i.pod connector and chrome mirror caps for the folding mirrors, no problems with panel gaps or wind noise/rattles from sunroof as reported elsewhere but decided to play an mp3 cd, great sound but refuses to eject, been to dealers today , they are ordering a new cd player.

Hmm, Not at all jealous
How much did you pay for those seats?
The price my dealer gave me was about £1150 supplied only!

Very nice looking S!

This is the first one that I have seen in Black with Black Bonnet Stripes...

And I must say I like it!

Congratulations & Enjoy!

pleased you like the stripes but mini stripes are flat black and would not look right on metalic astro black so my dealer got a specialist in and all they are is 5mm white pinstripes 100mm apart. we like them but we are biast.. they are the first my dralers done on any mini.
