I've got my new R56 Cooper S in my Garage at the mo because it was due to come the week before Xmas but they rang me up and said the factory was having trouble making them!!! Anyway it came about a week ago so i thought its only three weeks until the 07 Registration comes out so I'm just waiting for march the 1st. Really happy with my specs Laser Blue Black Roof and Bonnet Stripes Hi Fi Upgrade Chrome line INT and EXT MF steering wheel smoker pack visibility pack chequered dash sports suspension sports seats 17 inch Crown wheels auto A/C and other stuff i cant remember lol.... yes went in today to see if they had assigned my reg & they said we have it was delighted got a wee sit in it

I'm keeping the Beemer anyway, but we are tired of waiting. Had they said that the delivery date was going to be end of April 2007 we could live with that, but it was end of November, and every month we called it was delayed by an month, and even now we don't know if this was the last delay !

At least we got (after an angry letter) a substantial discount on the car.

Has anyone seen a DS/W Cooper S yet??!?!?!

I'm itching to see one, can't decide whether to go blue this time or stick with my faithful DS/W combination. Looks so good on my 1st gen S.

Any thoughts????

My dealer called me this morning to say that my DS/W MCS is being built this week!! Marchamundo, check out this link for more pics of J0nsey's DS/W MCS for some pointers. Looks superb, but then again I would say that!

Ah, Super!!! Glad to see that the DS/W is still popular. Think I'll switch this time though, just had a good look at Jonesy's car. Looks lovely, but dare I say this without being whipped within an inch of my life (I think my original Cooper S pulls off that colour combo slightly better).

Not sure what it is, anyone else have that thought???? Awaiting onslaught from prospective DS/W owners.

Maybe its a familiarity thing, I've had my DS/W since new in 2003, and love it. But, time is a wicked master! It won't be worth anything if I hang onto it forever!

Any chance we can have a colour chart line up of REAL Cooper S's???? (The dealer tells me to look on the website and build a car, but thats about as useful as using the colour chart in the brouchure).

Perhaps a new thread?

Thanks cco7ers, I'm loving the DS. Ordered it before seeing the R56 in DS so was nervous it may not look as good as the old S in DS. I now think it looks better! (I am biased obviously!)
