Yeeha!! At last I can sign up to this thread!!

Have just picked up my R56 MCS this morning and am very pleased! Nearly all the problems people have said they are having on here are not evident yet, although I have only done 50 miles! I do however have a very faint, intermittent rattle from inside one of the air vents on the dashbord. I'll wait to see what other problems arise during the running in period before taking it back for a fix.

Think I'm going back out to play with it again now!!

Is that a Hi-Fi upgrade a see lurking in the windscreen pilar?

Trying to spec my Cooper S at the moment, wondering what are the absolute must have's and those I can avoid! (not doing too well at avoiding stuff at the moment, grrr)

So far I've specced it exactly the same as my old S!!

Picked up my 07 MCS (Nigel) last Monday. Haven't post/taken pics yet. I have already put 325 miles on him. I took Nigel in for his first bath on Saturday and everyone was asking the usual questions: isn't that car cramped, how much horsepower, where do you put groceries/baggage/other adults.

Picked up my new Mini on Saturday. Have been busy showing her (Minnie) off to anyone and everyone!

Delivery/collection/handover has gone well so far (touch wood) - before previous Mini had a Renault Migraine (worst car for reliability ever and in 9 months of ownership drove it for about 4 weeks and got to know AA area guys very well!).

Panicked initially over hiss coming from under Minnie's bonnet, then read up finding it was to be expected for a few minutes after stopping!

Traded in almost identical 52-reg MCS and am not missing much as new car spec is almost identical (went for Storage Pack - v handy - and upgrade to Auto Air Con plus a multi function steering wheel - but still have sunroof, chili pack, tinted windows, same exterior colour(!), etc).

Had a few hours entertainment setting the computer for the different keys to have different light/radio/air con settings - am sure the manual could be a bit clearer in some areas.

Just trying to run engine in nicely so the fun and games can ensue soon!!

Roll on the sunny days...

I got mine on Monday, but ive been busy driving all over the place to take some pics. Finally washed the car from all the muck and grime its picked up. ive zymol'd it all over so should stay clean longer and be easier to clean....next week

Anyway looks like spring is at last here these are some pictures i took yesterday. (me camera skills are pretty crap!!)

This one is my favourite it pics up loads of sparkles off the sun

(dont know why the sky is dark, but the sparkles on the white is cool)
