Offline | Chilli Red Mine arrived on 28th July 08. Hasn't stopped raining since! Very impressed with the quality. Always a little apprehensive after reading all sorts of problems/noises from other owners on Mini2 but all I can say is ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Will invest in silver indicator bulbs plus black front grille trims when I can. |

Offline | Hi Caesar, Had a letter from Mini this morning congratulating me on my purchase! First time a manufacturer has written to me - other than telling me there's a recall ! Nice touch I thought. I'm looking for any excuse to go for a drive. Pity its been raining all week. I keep looking out the window at it Cheers Rob |

Offline | I'm about 25 miles from Cardiff. Between Newbridge and Blackwood in a little place called Croespenmaen. I work in Cardiff Bay but I take the train every day and hence why I can now afford to run a MCS (hopefully), due to the low mileage. When I was driving it was at least 250 - 300 miles a week. My colleagues want me to take the car to work to show them though ![]() Rob |

Offline | Hi Rob, Were not too far from each other as I live in Newport ![]() A trip I often use in the MCS is Newport to Chepstow via the A48, turn left at the roundabout and head for the Wye Valley then to Monmouth. Then return to Newport via the A449. It's a good mix of B and A roads with some fast sections .....ideal for running-in the car. As regards running costs the MCS is superb ......once you have got over the initial purchase cost ![]() Regards Philip |

Offline | Hi Rob, The weather has been fine all day until now....showers ! The last time I was near Brecon I was competing in a motorcyle enduro competition in the Crachan Forest in the winter for 2 days!! So please be sympathetic to us bikers ![]() I hope your MCS is behaving itself, and have a good day on Monday. My 'S' is chilli red all over....I think it's a great colour especially if you wax it regularly. Phil |

Offline | 2005 Chili Red S convertible Got my "new" mini yesterday -- after waiting 3 weeks for the seller to get the title from his finance company. Chili Red. Would have liked to go for a new one, but didn't want to wait until '09... So far, with about 50 miles, it's as good as I expected; hoping to get a few more miles on before end of the weekend! Edit: just realized this was the 2nd gen forum. |
