I picked up my new MCS on the 11th of December after 18 months with an R50 Cooper.

As much as loved the Cooper, MINI really has pulled out all the stops on the R56 and it is a truly amazing car!

Cloth/Leather Ray Cream White
Sports Suspension
Chili Pack
17" Crown Spoke Alloys
Multifunction for Steering wheel
Chrome line interior
Chrome line exterior
Roof in body colour

Panoramic glass sunroof
darkened rear glass
Colour line cream white
Anthracite roof lining
Interior trim Piano black
Navigation system
HiFi Speaker system
TLC Pack

Thanks! Its a real problem how carried away you can get ticking those boxes though, and when you want things like the Nav (as i'm not too keen on the standard stereo set-up) then you HAVE to have climate control it all adds up

I must be the unhappiest S owner currently. Picked up my Dec 06 Laser Blue from the dealer yesterday and had great fun for all of two hours.

Back at the dealers today due to overpowering smell of petrol, which, looking at previous threads on this forum, looks to be the high pressure fuel valve leaking. So now driving a Focus until a spare part can be found.

Still got my wife's MINI (Brad) to drive in the meantime (Char from New MINI Kernow for you 118!) so all is not lost but he's not the same as a new S.

Hope to see many of you at Top Gear and looking forward to an efficient dealership.

Hi i join awhile back when i had a mini cooper when lacking on power i got a Golf GTI (which i must is a very good car.)
........and 4yrs after i go for a test drive only on interest.

VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

i just traded my 2.0T Bluefin 250bhp GTI in for a new Pepper White Mini Cooper S with JCW Works Kit. I have currently just found my password for this forum as it was a while since i used it but i am still at the run-in stage, running up 400miles already but when i hit over the thousand mark. The sports button is going on and the DSC is going off and am going to give that 1.6T 192hp engine a good seeing too.LOL

Cant Wait

My S beast is 4 days old, and its brilliant. It looks beautiful, a DS all over with web-spoke alloys and moonroof. But the power is a revelation, never having had a performance car before. The surprise is how refined it is, from engine to suspension. I had feared that the 17" with run-flats would be a bad ride, but its great - firm, but not crashy, and mostly a lot more compliant than I had expected. The gearbox is a gem, so short and quick and smooth, up or down. And no squeaks or rattles yet, fingers crossed. I feel sorry for everyone driving....something else.

Picked up my amazing new Cooper S Friday afternoon - first impressions are just how much more refined this car is over my previous R56 (one of the first off the production line back in Nov 06) - anyone else feel the same as me??

Really went all out on the spec too and am so glad I did as am thrilled to bits with my third car from the Mini 'family'
