Offline | Hi I am just confirming my spec for a mini cooper S (delivery early Jan). This is my first mini so I am a bit confused by all the options! At the moment I have Lightning Blue, Chili, Visibility & exterior Mirror packs with automatic air-con as an addition. I seem to have requested both chrome line interior and a interior trim of brushed alloy do I want/need both? I have looked at the on-line picture but am none the wiser - What is the difference. Also I am confused about the sports suspension - I thought that the ride was firm enough without but some people seem to suggest otherwise. Please help Thanks |

Offline | Hi and welcome ![]() The chromeline interior gives you chrome rings around the circular dashboard instruments and the cup holders etc. The brushed alloy interior trim is the colouring for the centre across the whole dash. The combination will look very nice in my opinion. Specifying sports suspension will give you a much firmer ride than standard. If you've test driven without and are happy then don't specify it ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

| What's Next? | Hi Rach, I'm not sure I know what you mean when you say you "seem to have requested both chrome line interior and a interior trim of brushed alloy", did your dealer not go through the different trim options with you? Personally, I think Brushed Alloy is the best of the interior trims on the new MINI, but could easily live without the Chrome Line Interior, but it is all about personal taste. As for the Sports Suspension, I'm in full agreement with KPKalle, that it is down to the individual to decide whether regular suspension is firm enough. Personally, I would stick with the Sports, and I'm sure most on here would agree, as it suits the Cooper S more. As for the rest of your spec, from what you've told us, it looks pretty good. Although most would advise you to add the Multi-Function Steering Wheel. Whatever you do, be quick, as chances are you'll not be able to change anything on your order fairly soon.
