| Damned | Check the Bonnet Shut lines are acceptable. There seem to have been quite a few instances of R56`s delivered to the showrooms with a bit of a misalignment of the bonnet in relation to the wheel arch / front wing / spoiler. Offline | The only major thing to do really is check that there is no damage to the bodywork or interior. Other than making sure you take the right money along with you its just a case of enjoying the day! |

Offline | If its anything like our hand-over, the car was a mess inside and obviously not cleaned. The dealer knew almost bugger all about the car. Even telling us to book and pay to get the settings changed...... All we did in the end was check foe dents, options and get out quick and enjoy the car, its amazing. I don't complain much but have written to Mini HQ about our dealer, he was hopeless and gave bad advice. ( Based in Cheltenham ) |

Offline | GOOD LUCK! Honestly take your time and walk around the car looking at the paintwork. Knowing now what they go through to get to the dealers, definately look. But most importantly enjoy every minute of it! CONGRATS! What colour are you getting? We want pics asap! |

Offline | Never thought about it before, but after a trip to the factory and following the new MINIs through the production line its amazing what the little cars go through and how many people touch your little baby. Then theres the car transportation to your dealer. They are always well looked after by everyone but I didn't even think about what they went though beofre arriving to the customer! Good and interesting to see though! |

| Open Door..Step Out..Easy | Don't worry, damage on MINIs is very rare - although not unheard of! However, so far this year I have not had one delivered with any damage. It is a good idea to thoroughly look round the car, inside and out, to see if there is any damage, as it can be difficult to prove after you drive away that it was not there before. Also, make sure all the options you chose are actually fitted to the car. This may sound obvious but, with something like Heated Door Mirrors & Washerjets for example, it is virtually impossible to see. Ask your dealer for a VZAR printout which will list exactly what has been fitted at the factory if you are not 100% sure what to look for. Next, make sure everything is working properly, and demand an accompanied test drive with your Sales Exec to make sure there are no unexpected noises etc. Only when you are totally happy with everything should you then agree to do the paperwork and pay for the car. Enjoy your day tomorrow Helen! ![]() |
