Offline | Does MINI normally let people take its cars for a 24 hr test drive? That sounds great - please post a report when you finish (even if it's not as journalistically perfect as Paul's ) |

Offline | When i was first interested in buying a MINI in 2003 i asked if i could have a 24 hr test drive. They said it was no problem i just had to have proof that i had insured the car ,a £16,000 MINI Cooper if i remember rightly. It may be a little trickier at the moment as dealers don't have that many fleet R56's so they may be a little reluctant to let them go out if that leaves them without a demonstrator. ![]() |

Offline | i know them quite well which helps and spoke to the manager but even tho I have no immediate plans to buy one they leant one out ![]() fully covered on their insurance too but with a big excess ![]() only rule is that I keep the mileage below 200 as the cars are all day everyday so mileage is already approaching 2k ![]() will let you know what I think back to back with my MCS ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I'm going to ask to get one just for the afternoon although 24 hours sounds great. ( i could see what it looks like on the driveway) , sad to say it just to make sure i could live with a cooper. love them to bits but i would have to make sure that my mother whos in my cart a few times a week could be confortable either with someone sitting behind her or her in the back. if i could manage my routine on a saturday, when i can have four in my car for a short distance with two being over 60's then I'd be happy. The Second cars a company 56 Ford Focus but who wants to drive that at the weekends lol. |

Offline | i simply rang the MINI manager who I have dealt with before. Said I would be interested in borrowing an S whilst mine was in for warrenty work. Said I knew how busy there were so will work round them. They were very accomodating and gave me the first date. Asked if I could pick it up night before and they agreed ![]() Pity about the 200 mile limit tho ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Pity about the 200 mile limit tho I'd settle for 24hrs, and 50 miles or so. a wee run down to Loch Lomand and back plus a Visit to the shop with my Mother (sad) and have it on the drive for a good look. |
