Sad news about Sport Button in South Africa

My dealer has just called me to inform me that the Sport button will be a cost option.
She does not know how much and initially she said it would be standard!

So my question to my fellow MINI enthusiast's is:
Is the "SPORT Button" a must have option and worth it?

MINI, it is a way of life.

I think in terms of the steering feel alone I would say "yes" it's worth it. Depending on how much they're charging.

is their really a noticeable difference as the throttle response, steering and suspension all felt the same

maybe I was too elated on my test drive to notice

However for around £100 I think I'd spec it just to say my car has a sport button ... sad i know!

Its a massive difference IMO. When are you having your 24hr test drive? When you get it on some familiar roads and start to get used to the car you really notice the difference it makes.
