some quick q's

just some quick q's:

1. when you open the window, it automatically goes all the way down unless you tap it up, but then if you want it to be a certain amount open, it is impossible to get it to the way you want it. how can i make it go down/up bit by bit?

2. when you unlock the car, how can you make the front two reading lights turn on automatically? i've tried some settings but for some reason when i lock the car, the lights stay on?!

3. just making sure as this is my first mcs- when in stationary the engine sounds a bit like a diesel, is this right?

1) If you "tap" the window switch it goes into "all in one" mode, if you press and hold it it will only move until you release the switch.

2) I don't think there's a way to switch the reading lights on, the interior light (central) etc should come on, but not the map reading lights.

3) They do a bit yes.

I've also noticed that there is a hissing/sizzling sound once you shutdown after a run. I assume this is the turbo cooling down.

thanks paul, i'll give that a try

yes, the centre light comes on

i also get the hissing sound even after the car is off for about 15mins so it must be cooling down?

also, for the start/stop button, do you have to hold it down or just press it and let go? (just making sure as i don't want to ruin anything)

also, i was told to put the clutch down before you turn on/off the car, is this necessary as i didn't do this before?

You just press the start button.

Yes, you have to depress the clutch. Press start without the clutch down and it just turns the ignition on but will not start the car.
