Offline | What does everybody think about the chrome bonnet scoop? Do you think it would go well on my DS car? (I'm considering it) Whats the best colour for it to work with do we think?? I think DS should look pretty good with it? Dave, DS R56 MCS + JCW AERO KIT |

Offline | Don't do it J0nesy ! The mirror caps look good, but the bonnet scoop - No Way !! I think of it this way .... You see this really nice looking girl with some lovely sparkly earrings. She looks classy. ![]() Then she goes and gets the biggest nose piercing ever. Now she's lost that classy look. Shame, she looked so nice until she spoilt it. PS: Sorry if it offends any nose pierced girls out there, but its just my opinion. ![]() |

Offline | Hmmm........ I like the comparison ![]() I suppose as a fellow DS owner you have maybe thought about it to. The thing is, have u actually seen a DS with it on??? I think I would need to see it to make a final decision!! Thanks Dave, DS R56 MCS + JCW AERO KIT |

Offline | No I haven't seen one. Chrome scoops are not my thing at all. I think customizing is a great thing, and it's part of the Mini's appeal. But there is a fine line between tasteful and tasteless imo and the chrome (or carbon scoop for that matter) crosses that line. It's like the chequered rear view mirror cap, etc - one step too far. I think your car looks great just the way it is (driving lamps would be my only recommendation) It certainly doesn't need cheap jewellery. |

Offline | I tend to agree with Purple Dave... don't do it. Then again J0nsey, you pretty much convinsed me to follow through with the chrome mirror caps as part of the exterior chrome package... so if you like it, get it and then post pictures. It might look the dog's danglies. |

Offline | hey bud, i hear you can actually buy 'new car smell' in a spray can these days - halfords or places like that do it but i wouldn't do it...if you have leather, I reckon a good conditional/cleaner like maguiars or glymtone can make that new leather smell last a long time.wish i lived near some twisty country lanes - in london all we get is boring dual carriage ways ![]() |

Offline | just spotted your 'beast' and very nice it is too. love the chrome mirror caps. I went for body colour roof in case my pics don't show it clearly, so i get body colour mirror caps too. I read your post about a chrome bonnet scoop- IMO, i think that would be OTT, I would consider carbon look version instead, epecially if you have a interior that has the brushed alloy finish. Chrome bonnet scoop may be a little 'bling bling' ![]() |

Offline | That seems to be the feeling so far (A bit OTT) So I will probably not bother. I had chromed mirror caps on my previous pure silver cooper and loved them, so i thought y not have them on my latest car (I must admit, they look better than I was expecting) PS Must be difficult just having dual carriageways to drive on, Arr the joys of living in the country!! Once again, nice car man enjoy it Dave, DS R56 MCS + JCW AERO KIT |
