Offline | Bluetooth Phone prep Has anyone got the Bluetooth Phone Prep? Do you have to buy a phone cradle etc or can it work just with bluetooth say with your phone in your pocket as per our LandRover. If it only works when sitting in the armrest, im a little concerned that it will only take a certain type of phone. |

Offline | I half wish I had specified this, but it's £700!!!! I'm sure when I sat at the dealer I thought it was excessive, a handsfree kit would only cost £150 or so at carphone warehouse, but it wouldn't be integrated with the screen. An option I am definitely going to retro-fit is voice command for the sat nav, I really wish I had this at the start as its only £200 and having read through the manual it looks cool..... |

Offline | Dont forget that you get the Multifunction Steering wheel FOC together with a centre Armrest so that in effect takes it down to around £500. Still a lot of money but i dont like to wear some growth on my ear whilst driving and it would be unethical of me to use a phone whilst driving so im my opinion its £500 well spent. ![]() |

Offline | Yeah, I have the MFSW, and armrest... it didn't appear to me to be discounted from the spec, but maybe I wan't paying attention. I'll check it out but 500 still seems steep... I definitely need a handsfree kit though... I never use my fone and drive without one.... |

Offline | To answer the original question, no, there is no specific cradle. I always leave the phone in my pocket. The car connects to the phone when you turn on the ignition, and from then on your phone works through the car, until you turn the ignition off. It's a very tidy system. You can also browse your phonebook using the MFSW and if you have the satnav, you can even read your text messages when stopped at traffic lights! |
