Most of Europe is on the Metric system for kilometers but the United Kingdom still stuck to it's guns with miles and £ (pounds) instead of the Euro...

You might just want to amend your post to read in miles just to keep the peace...

And we used to talk about how many gallons we put in the car and now we talk about how many £'s worth. The number of litres is pretty meaningless
