Got a loan of a Turbo S for a couple of days MAN what a hoot.
I can see a lot of damaged cars rolling in for repairs in the next 6 months.. the car is a hooligan and you have to drive it to believe the instant thrust available in almost any gear.

Arrow Lag

Would you remove all lag if you drove in the upper quartile of the rev range?

It'd be superb to drive a modded R5 in 2nd,3rdm 4th at 5,000rpm+ - how light are they again??

Cheers,
K.

Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...

The Renault 5 Turbo of yore used very old turbo "technology". Current turbo's from any up-to-date manufacturer have amazingly little lag per their peak flow rates and engine displacement recommendations.

--->260 GTT: in a turbo car; driving around in the upper RPM range will help spool marginally versus driving normally. Turbo's spool up based on load, not just RPM. No matter what, when you let off the throttle and then get back on it, the turbo has to spool back up. The microscopic turbo in the R56 MCS spools up so fast you don't have to drive it with any real skill.
