Possible stupid question...but

I ordered my R56 with the 17''s and All season runflats... would like to pick up a set of summer tires as well... do the existing R50/R53 S-lites or crown spokes fit?

I see these regularly on NAM and I'd like to pick up a set...

As far as I'm aware (and I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm not!) wheel fitment sizes are the same for all MINI's.

Most First Generation alloys will fit the R56, except for these that will not fit over the new, bigger, brake discs:

R83 5-Star 16"

R84 X-Lite 16"

R88 Double-Spoke 16"

R90 Cross-Spoke 16"

R92 7-Spoke FIN 16"

So, yes John, any First Generation 17" wheels will be fine.

Obviously they do.

Seems strange that MINI would go to all the effort of compiling a list (which is where my list was copied from) of all the 1st Generation wheels that will and will not fit the R56 then!

R84 wheels will fit over the JCW Brake Kit but they aren't approved for this wheel because they don't provide adequate ventilation. The same might be true for R88 wheels.
