Went in to dealer to book the car in for white sports stripes and saw these on the display shelf so bought them, cool eh?

How much are they?? Do they add anything to the exhaust note?? were they any bigger than the standard ones??

Hey Griffer,

Car looks great! Like you I'm coming out of a MCS convertible, will be picking up a Lightning Blue MCS on Saturday...Also an impulse buy!! Any regrets? do you miss the soft top especially with the good weather over the past week?

Do miss the soft top when it gets sunny but the R56 is such a good car I would not change back. However when the convertible comes out......

glad you said you wouldn't change back! really looking forward to picking the new one up.

It has a sunroof but thats not the same as a soft top but I think the improved performance

and nicer drive will out weigh the soft top...just been listening to the you tube playing the

R56 exhaust sound...actually I can't wait to pick it up!

Lightning Blue just looks like the original Indie Blue. I'm currently on the MCSC. What's the turbo like? Do you miss the Super Charger sound?

With the windows down you can hear the turbo whistle and the "gunfire" from the exhaust, I think it sounds better than before from the outside, disappointing inside. Engine sound without the supercharger is not as good. Anyway the scary performance makes up for the above omissions and you get 10 MPG better economy in all driving conditions and pay less tax too! R56 MCS rocks!!!

how much difference in tax?

I haven't test driven one yet... maybe it's time

£125 instead of £190. Also company car tax a lot lower too. I was initially disappointed when I test drove one as you can't get a good drive with the dealer sat next to you. See if you can't get one for a day on your own and give it a good drive .You shouldn't be disappointed.

I had only had my MCSc about 4 months when the R56 was launched and drove a S and absolutely loved it! but I thought there would be no way I could get one,some people say that the new one is too refined,too quiet no supercharger noise etc. But I really like the way the new car drives and immediately noticed the increased performance,the controls seem to have a' well oiled' feel to them compared to the previous model. so get a test drive and see what you think
