Hi everyone, I went and placed my order today for and R56 MCS; paid the deposit so no backing out now, lol. I thought I'd post my spec as everyone else seems to and it's interesting to hear peoples feedback.

I've tried to go for style and performance as much as possible as well as selecting things I thought would help keep a high residual value, whilst keeping the price down. Overall I think I've made a V good choice

Colour:

Exterior:
Chili red,
roof & mirrors in black
black bonnet stripes (mean look, lol)
front fogs
17" crown spoke alloys
Bi-Xenon's
Darkened rear glass!!

interior:
clth/lea ray rooster red
piano black interior trim
colour line rooster red
chrome line interior
Visibility pack
smoker pack (I dont smoke, but it was free, lol)
Lights package
Auto air conditioning
HI-FI upgrade

total = £19,500

the hi fi upgrade is good! Mine sounds fantastic.... loads of punch, and a zillion times better than the HK in my last MCS

Good spec especially the colour choice and interior choice but then maybe i'm slightly biased

I've not sure why people are complaining about the hi-fi system. I used the same piece of music in two cars side by side at the dealership before speccing hi-fi. The standard system sounded ok until I listened to the hi-fi specced car which makes the standard system sound weak and gutless but then not everyone is that fussed so..........each to their own I guess.

HELP HELP HELP Ive just got a new R56 Cooper S Lazer Blue with Black Roof and Black Bonnet Stripes. Does anyone know who does the new Body kit Cheapest fitted. Ive been quoted £1500 which seems to be quite allot really. can anyone HELP?????

Stick with the hi-fi its excellent, i think some people have't configured theirs properly or something.

Body kit=Derek woodmans or williams of rochdale

It sounds fantastic - MUCH better than the old HK system !

I think theres a few dodgy / blown speakers out there, just get them fixed.

Popey, you said it was excellent when you first heard it / got your R56, what went wrong ??

i paid 1400 fitted, some people say they have paid 1000.... cant see it myself but thats what they say...

It did sound great, im just thinking of all the problems people seem to be having including me, it might be worth going after market

If your hi-fi is having probs get it fixed under warrenty and if it still goes wrong demand that a new one be installed, thats what the warranty is for.

"Technically" speaking this is not my first mini, I used to own a mini mayfair "cooper look-a-like" learnt to drive in it, lol. Best car I ever owned had soooo much fun in it. Since that for the past three years I've had a Fiat Punto Active Sport (1st car I bought from new, 04 plate). Now the time has come to get a new car again, I always vowed I would get a mini again some day so I thought, "Heck, I'll do both, I'll make it a "new mini" lol. So here I am, entering the mini community once again, hehehe
