Missing 12v socket?

Hello

We have a mysterious hole in the boot, on the left hand side, that looks very much like it should either have a 12v socket in it or at least be blanked off...

...what do other R56 MCS owners have in their boots? Hole? Socket? Bit of plastic blanking off the hole?

Thanks for any responses!

The 12v Socket in the boot is no longer a standard fit; it is only available as part of the Storage Compartment Pack.

As the 'space' to put this will be in every car, regardless of whether the option is specified or not, it would appear you are missing a blanking plate.

Get your dealer to order you a replacement, as clearly it was missed by Quality Control at the factory and on the PDI.

This is the same on all R56's UNLESS you have the 'Storage compartment package'.

Yeah that fits in with what I thought - seemed strange to have a hole rather than a blanking plate. Will chase up with the dealer!

Thanks chaps.

United-Kingdom retro-fit

do u think it would be difficult to retrofit this??

Im guessing it runs of the rear lights supplyor something. Anyone gt any ideas? I think the 12v in the boot could be really useful.

cheers
