I need to get some silver side repeaters, but according the manual it sounds dead easy. The indicator bulbs front and rear are very easy to change, again it's in the manual and very straight forward.

Easy if you have small hands (unlike me). My hands got cut to bits doing front and rear indicators.

I've yet to do the side repeaters.

I was not born with small hands i was born with big hands which are very clumsey, so think i will end up paying someone to do it 4 me, i was thinking of changing the side and rear just dont kown if its worth changing the front ? i also find that the front side lights are very dim

I have big hands, it's easy. Just make sure (for the fronts) you turn the wheels the right way to give loads of clearance. And having long fingers is a must for the rear lights!

Just been having a look on Mikey's web site for bulbs just wondering which are the best ones to buy for front rear side repeaters ? or should i drop Mikey an email, when it comes to doing up minis not that that much experience hardly did anything to the exterior of my old mini apart from some new wiper blades.
Dont think much of the blades on the new mini either

I always find that a mist over the orange part of the bulb with a black aerosol works wonders, and saves pounds£££

I honestly think the R56 bulbs are the easiest I've changed on any car I've worked on.

I have fitted Diadem indicators from and rear (they look bluey and fit in with the laser blue of my car ) Also fitted the halogen sidelights that mikey sells and they fit much better colour wise with the xenons. This was a very easy job to do (as I have the front wheels off to fit the mud flaps anyway...)

I cannot seem to get the lens covers off the side repeaters to change them... they seem difficult to remove (as per the instructions in the manual) anyone else have this problem ?

I changed all my indicators for silver bulbs today. Front really easy, back little more tricky to get to but still easy. Side repeaters easy too but I managed to snap one of the securing clips on one side getting them off. I phoned the dealers to enquire how much a new side vent for a Cooper S. I was shocked to hear......wait for it......£13.71 plus VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mini selling parts at reasonable prices..........it's true!!! I ordered a set and intend to sell others (maybe more) on Ebay. Should get a good return.

I've always though OEM replacement parts (and most options) are good value. It's only when you get to "accessories" and dress up parts you start to get stung.

I don't know, a Flame spoke alloy is £171 plus VAT without a tyre!
