Would you say this was an ok PX deal

After an initial derisory offer, I've been offered £8250 PX for my Mini Cooper Chilli Pack '03 (A few scratches to bumper & wingmirror), to upgrade to an '07 Cooper S. Does this seem like a fair price.

Thanks in advance from a total noobie

Sounds reasonable to me.

For comparison, I managed to get £7250 for my '52 plate Chili Cooper, which was over 50% the purchase price in 4 years motoring, having covered a lot of miles.

Cheers, Paul

Sounds reasonable, have you tried many dealers?

Trade In

Seems reasonable but there may be a little more room to negotiate , try and squeeze free TLC out of the deal once you have got them up as high as they will go. For comparision about this time last year I got £8150 on my original "MINI me" 4 years old and 41,000 original list £17,060 (fully loaded) upgraded to an S Convertible automatic.

Good Luck

Not really a direct comparisson but I'd say that you've been offered a great price there. I was offered £6750 for my 52 reg Golf GT TDi 130 6 spd 37,000 miles against a new MCS.

Thought this was ok but was hoping more around the £7500 mark (Got offered that against Focus ST and 2nd hand RX8), It was filthy when I took it in though, people say that doesn't make any difference but I know from experience it makes a lot of difference!

Yeah, I washed and waxed mine before taking it in to get a price from the dealer. Definately worth it unless you have scratches that you would rather stayed covered in dirt !
