United-Kingdom Laser Blue MCS Finally Ordered!

Just orderd my new MCS! I couldn't stop ticking those boxes! Should be delivered by the end of March:

17" Flame Spoke Alloys
White Bonnet Stripes
Roof&Mirror Caps In White
Lea Punch Carbon Black
Interior Trim Alloy
CHILI Pack
Multifunction for S/Wheel
Limited Slip Diff
Exterior Mirror Pack
Heated Mirrors/Washerjets
Comfort Access
Chrome-Line Interior
Chrome-Line Exterior
Visibility Pack
Panoramic Glass Sunroof
Front Centre Arm Rest
Storage Compartment Pack
Front Seat Heating
Colour Line Dark Grey
Park Distance Control
Automatic Air Conditioning
Navigation System
DAB Digital Radio
HiFi Speaker System

Pictures to follow. I've read a few negative things about the Sat Nav and I know it's a lot to pay for a Sat Nav unit but I just love the way it makes the dash look.

I wanted to wait until production week 10 so that I could get the Storage Pack and the Limited Slip Diff.

Laser Blue with white roof and stripes

Nearly went for Lightning Blue but thought it looked too dark.

Good colour choice, you won't regret Laser Blue - it looks fresh in bright sunlight and rich on a gloomy day Not that I'm biased or anything...

Impressive spec - any boxes left unticked? I've been very impressed with the DAB. I'm still not used to hearing 5Live in crystal clear stereo.

Thanks! I just took a peek at the pictures in your gallery - the car looks stunning! I'm so glad a chose Laser Blue.

Does DAB cut out that often? What is the coverage like?

United-States Dab

Is DAB the equivalent of our HD (high defnition) radio here in the States? HD in the States means that one frequency can handle more than one channel.

Cheers!

DAB cuts out under long bridges or in tunnels, but picks up immediately you're out the other side - no different to AM/MW really. On a journey from North London to the South Coast, it cut out twice around the South Downs, but radio reception is lousy there anyway so this was way better than expected. All in all, no problems with it and very good sound quality. Reception is, in my experience, excellent.

On the downside, just 900 miles on the clock and I've had a warning light pop up last night Car is driveable, but needs to go in for a look. It's the yellow warning light shaped like an engine - manual says emissions might be affected, so don't know how serious it is. Oh well...

Not sure if it's the same as what you have in the States (Sirius and XM, IIRC). DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is digital radio with several stations broadcast - in clear stereo - on the same multiplex. It also allows details such as "song now playing" to be shown on the display of the radio.

Sounds a lot like HD (Hi Definition) radio here. "Crystal clear broadcasts with title and track information"
