2007 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works

Does anyone know if there are any plans to produce a JCW Kit for the new model of Cooper S?

The new engine setup would make it cost prohibitive, so it's likely the new JC Works tuning will be done at the factory only.

Saying that, no official details have been released as yet, so never say never.

Did they not say this for the JCW engine upgrade for the R53? that it wouldnt be possible to retrofit the kit....then a couple of months later....

Now that JCW has been brought in house by MINI and with the JCW GP built already under the Oxford plant's belt - I think that we will most definitely see it as a Factory Option on the R56 - sometime in 2008.

2008 JCW Comes up to Speed

With the new MINI Cooper S and Cooper now introduced to the public on both sides of the Atlantic, imaginations of MINI enthusiasts seem to be focused on the next big thing, the 2008 John Cooper Works. As we’ve reported over the last year, expect this new factory only version of the JCW MCS is to be a very different beast than the one it replaces. Gone is the ability to have your local dealer put one together for you after the fact. And gone is the subtle look and nature of the modifications. Instead we’ll have a JCW MCS that is more BMW M3 and less “guy in a garage” in it’s execution.

I'll trade in my R56 MCS for the JCW MCS once it becomes available for pre-order!

I will keep my R56 MCS until the JCW comes out. If it is way too expensive i will give it a miss.
It really needs to be amazing for me to consider leaving the R56.

I hope it pushes out 175kw plus and above 290nm!!!! I want it to look amazing and do 0-100km/h in less than 6.3 second!!!!!

Am I dreaming?

MINI, it is a way of life.
