United-States Krut's LB/B R56 - Delivered! Finally!

Finally got it last Friday! I have to say the first time I used the PFMs (Power Folding Mirrors) I almost PMSL - so brilliant!

I do truly love the laser blue - everyone is correct it looks nothing like it does in person - such a hard color to photograph.

I have noted some weirdness - the clutch is much softer than my R53, our storage area above the glove box (where the cd-changer resides) is glued shut (hence the two week delay in my car arriving to the dealer). We don't have the exhaust burble in the US - which ****ed me off greatly.

All in all a very good car and much more comfortable than the R53 - I've already been pulled over in the car by the police for going a bit too quickly through the streets of Washington (I swear the speed creeps on you).

Original Pics located here.

The xenons are fantastic - I did notice the driving lamps are not programmed to go out when you switch to high beams - which is great (even if it is illegal in most US states!).

Guess I'm going to need a new sig at some point. I was a bit disappointed in my 06 trade-in allowance - the JCW kit does not hold value at all in the States - only a few thousand dollars. Means I'll have to pass on the 08 Traveller when it comes out and hold on to this MINI until 2010.

Nice wheels! I was a little skeptical ordering those myself... but after seeing them on your car I feel much more at peace. I should be getting my mini this coming saturday.... hopefully the wheels look as good on mine as they do on yours.

Looks great Kurt, it was worth the wait!

Hopefully you'll soon stop playing with the gizmos and start chewing up the tarmac - get out there and enjoy it!
