Just a quick one!!

Has anyone order an R56 in mellow yellow? I was tempted until i say it in the flesh at my local dealer, looked like a council van yellow - not pretty and nowhere near as nice as the old liquid yellow!!

I've not ordered one - but I've seen a few of them and I know what you mean about the colour - it's a bit like Del Boys van!

I'd better shut my mouth 'cos I don't want to offend anybody who's got/ordered a Mellow Yellow MINI

I've seen one, and while I think it looks ok, it's not a colour I would choose

I haven't seen one in the flesh yet, but some of the photos I've seen on here look good.

I know there's lots of you out there that dont like Mellow Yellow, but there are also people who do and I love mine !!!!

I know its personal choice, but im sick of reading threads about how awful it is and im sure other Mellow Yellow owners must feel the same !!!!

Everyone orders the colour of there choice, if we all liked the same they would only make one colour !!!!

Take a look at mine and tell me it looks like a council van !!!!

I just took ownership of a 2007 MCS with mellow yellow (and opted for a checkered roof). Since the Mini is such a fun car, I wanted a fun motif. My other cars tend towards grey, silver, green, but I wanted the Mini to stand out. It does. It reminds me of the Yellow Cabs that used to be so prevalent here in the states.

Reactin of friends and acquaintances is running @ 19:1 in favor of the color, even if it's likely that most would not choose to have their car stand out that much.

Interestingly........women seem to especially like it. "It's soooo cute!"

There's one in the showroom at my local dealer with JCW R105 Burnish wheels on and a Black roof.I am not a fan of yellow myself but must admit it look the dog nuts

Yellow is not a colour I would choose, but I think MY is WAY better than the old yellow.

Hmmmm, I immediately rushed past the mellow yellow color when deciding to order. I like it. The black mirrors and roof looks really really nice.

Well, it's distinctive and it certainly isn't dull but, being yellow, I wouldn't get too prickly about people saying they like it or hate it; yellow is always going to attract extreme opinions (both for and against).

If you like Mellow Yellow, good for you. Buy it, enjoy it, but just don't expect to blend into the background and attract only mild opinions
