| Super Salesman | Shoot I can't even barely get pics for I sell these things and we can't even keep the '07 in stock. We have nothing but '06 mostly. We sold two Cooper S's last week that were '07. By the way I'm Steve and I'm a Miniholic LOL! Actually I'm selling these big toys at the biggest dealership in the U.S. which is quite fun. We're in Omaha if you've heard. |

Offline | thanks tiger for your quick response! two things - firstly....what is the diff btwn polished and silver? are the polished 1s like chrome ones like you quite often see in the states and on the Merc ML...secondly do you think that it makes a differnce if I were to order them from the US because they are cheaper there? many thanks |

Offline | http://www.mini2.com/forum/custompro...pic41684_1.gif here you go bud. the polished ones are NOT quite chromed-up like the alloys commonly found in the USA - our friends over the pond like them with a proper mirror-like finish - too bling for me. Polished versions are....well polished! Silver finish is like the regular alloy wheel finish...most common - like a dull silver paintwork of a car. I think after shipping, you will save little from buying in the USA. Have you ordered your car yet? Where are you based? |

Offline | im based in london....i havn't ordered my car yet...but test drove a R56 MCS last week and loved it so depending on how business goes etc i might have to dig deep and order one! As im not in any rush and am away for the majority of july, aug and sept i might wait for the 57 or even 08 models...im also keen to know if there will be diff options on the later build models - im still getting my head around if i like the aero kit on the R56 as im not too fond of the rear bumper but love the front grill and side skirts! if i ordered a MCS id deff have to get it in black with crome mirror caps and the r99's polished haha and maybe the chrome bonnet scoop although that could make it look trashy! are you pleased with yours tiger? i cant see your pic because its a thumbnail size and cant seem to make it bigger? regards |

Offline | if you click on the link on my previous post and scroll down to the middle of the list of threads you will see my clickable thumbnails and then soom them up. I too dislike the rear bumper of the Aero kit so decided against fitting the option. I love car. There are a few niggles (expected that as it is a new model), but apart from that it is an grin-inducing ride - the cabin is a lovely place to be in too. I can visualise your car and it will look very smart - black with chrome and polished trim - moody yet menacing looking!! when you are ready, I can put you in touch with my dealer (london) who, along with me, has secured some deals to a few other chaps on the forum on purchasing their MCS! |

Offline | thanks tiger for all the help....if i do end up getting one which i hope i do i will deff contact you and ask about your dealer etc...your car looks stunning really like the combo of the DS with the loungewood and obviously the wheels are stunning!....one thing i would love to do to mine is colour code the wheel arches - iv seen quite a few who have done stunning jobs yet you need to be careful as the job needs to be done properly otherwise the paint just chips off. many miles of happy driving tiger haha!! Thanks for the help Mitch - im sure when i speak to mini they will be able to sort me out and fix the right deal for the R99s! haha |

Offline | I'm not liking the original bumper of the new Cooper S, but the aero kit front bumper makes it look a lot better ![]() Hyper Blue/Blue MCSC with Chilli 'No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself' A. Carnegie |
