has anyone missed...

anything from the old MCS?

i miss the little cubby hole to the right of the steering wheel and the multifunction on the back of the steering wheel as opposed to the front.

I agree about the controls on the back of the steering wheel. I questioned the dealer about this saying it was a backward step and he told me that Mini had received a lot of negative feedback about the controls (people forgetting which button did what) so they put them on the front with symbols!

The additional storage bin above the glove compartment (with great damped mechanism) makes up for the lack of cubby hole

Laser_Chris, is that a picture of your mini? Is that the Leather Gravity Tuscan beige interior? Any more pics of the car that I can look at?

In the U.S., there is no "storage package", so does this mean that my r56 won't have that compartment on top of the glove box? That is a nice, "secret compartment"

Lil_Mini,
It isn't my Mini but a picture I took of one at the Dallas dealership last week. It is Tuscan beige and I've attached another picture. I think that all cars in the US have this compartment (I never saw one that didn't) but I'm not 100% sure.

I am not keen on that colour combo. The seats look good but the door panels do not. The poor match of the cream colour line is also strange!

That little space hardly seems worth an extra £125 added to the price of the CHILLI pack in the UK!

The storage pack is not just the additional storage compartment in the passenger side dashboard, you also get a storage net in the front passenger footwell, plus a floor net, two separate side dividing nets and a 12V socket in the boot. Also, you get rake adjustment for the rear seat backs.

It's also a sneaky price rise for those of us that get the packs (i.e. almost everyone), I suspect; the storage pack option on its own is £90.

BTW, back on topic, I miss the pen holder in the glove box.

LOL.. that is the configuration of my r56, except my panel is Piano Black. I think it doesn't look as pretty because of the grey top dash area. Wish they would make that beige too, it would look so much nicer.

If it doesn't look good in the end, I can always blame it on the fact that there was no real life images for me to look at until now and that it looked nice on the webpage. hehe.
