| MINI2 Regular | Not Run In Properly I was just wondering what the effects of not running in a car properly are???? Anyone got any ideas?? |

Offline | Basically you'll find that its possible the car won't last as long...but your talking about the difference between the car needing significant engine/ancilleries work at 100,000 or 200,000 miles ... You'll still get good miles out of it before it played up (or you should but from what i've heard of the R56 running in etc might not make a difference ) You'll be fine....and like above if you run it hard from factory then in faxct th engine often performs better, but won't last as long (race engines are prepped like that as they are stripped so regular) |

Offline | If you truly appreciate your car, then you will run it in according to the manufactures instructions. In the case of the Mini the you should not exceed 4500 revs for the 1st 1500 miles, which is not too much to ask. Remember there are countless other new moving parts that need to bed-in, including brakes, gearbox, transmission and tyres. |
