I just got confirmation from my dealer (Mini Park Lane) that my car will be ready for collection on 27th March - yay!

Here's the thing: According to them, the Aerokit will be fitted at the factory and NOT at the dealership. That's fine by me, but has anyone else been notified of this 'new' development?

I was always under the impressions that the bodykit was a dealer-fitted accessory. Strange!

Thats great as if it is factory fit you dont need to say to the insurance as it will be a s the oriigial spec

Be carefull.
Thats not the JCW aerokit but the aerokit from MINI.

Nephilin, they told you this because they fir the aerokit at their distribution centre in Oxford

So does this mean that Mini Park Lane is the official Mini dealership and the others are simply third party dealers? Would explain why they have a distribution centre up in Oxford.

MINI Park Lane has it's cars PDId at Thorne in Yorkshire, the distribution centre for all inport and export of BMW/MINI

It's here that the DFAs, dealer fitted accessories are added.

The cars are built in Oxford. I used to work at MINI Park Lane, the only good thing about it was that you get great company cars to drive.
