We picked up our new R56 'S' on 1st March. It's my wife's car so I bear no responsibility for the roof!

I've been lurking since December when we placed our order. Thanks to this place I've been better informed when making decisions, (eg don't pay the £400 being asked by the dealer for the iPod connector).

My Mrs is made up, absolutely loves the car. I like it too, but I have a few little niggles with it. I've posted an initial review and some more pics on our blog at http://thinkcar.org/?p=26

very good review you should write for a car mag, i know what your saying about the indicators. basically there is two positions up and down first position is one wink or three (you can set that in options). second position is a normal turn. if it cancels after turning all is good but if it does not cancel i frantically pushed it the another way like normal indicators and then is flashes the other way. what you have to do to cancel it is move in the SAME way to the first position then it cancels. the wipers are the same i think cause i could not get these to turn off as well. so i am going to have a practice with them but lift the wipers up so i don't scratch the glass

I love this quote in your blog ... The GTI and the ST are both slightly slower through the gears, according to many mag reviews. Also, having driven both of them, I would say the Mini feels faster too.

Anyway each to their own, I'm going for a drive in my MCS!

Very nice. I'm liking the R56 more and more every time I see one. I really like laser blue as well, despite never being a fan of the electric blue. I don't doubt I'll have an R56 in a couple of years.
