| MINI2 Regular | Friday is the day Ok, new to the world of Mini I am getting my new R56 Cooper S on Friday (barring any last minute hitches). Chili Red Black bonnet stripes Black Roof Black mirrors Aero Kit JCW Bonnet and tailgate bits JCW steering wheel, handbrake bits & gear bits in Carbon Chili Pack Heated Seats Bluetooth Chrome Line Interior Piano Black Cloth/Leather Rooster Red PDC Limited Slip Diff Sports Suspension Visibility Pack MFSW Heated Mirrors/Washerjets Colour Line Grey Rain Sensor/Lights on Front Centre Arm Rest DAB Digital Radio Hifi Speaker System TLC Pack I must confess to being very excited even though I have owned cars double the price over the last few years. There's something about a Mini that really is very funky and cool. Looking forward to saving a shed load of money compared to all the other cars I have recently owned. My only niggling doubt is the number of reliability problems people seem to be having on the R56. It's kind of dampening my excitement down with the fear that I might get a duff one. I'm praying it doesn't need to go back for anything days after I get it as that would really annoy me. Anyway, I will post pictures and initial thoughts once I get it. Cheers, Anis |

| MINI2 Regular | Yep, no worries asking how much it cost, I have nothing to hide . It has come to £22,300. I got all the dealer fit accessories very cheaply. The aero kit has come in at £775, all the interior bits are £350 and the exterior carbon bits are £200 and ipod kit £250. They gave me a pretty decent discount because I have used them for my BMWs and have also sold cars to them via friends & family. I was on the verge of speccing Sat Nav but I rarely use it (maybe 3-4 times a year) so I couldn't justify the £1400 outlay when I can get a speed camera and sat nav all in one for £300. I just really wanted the screen as I think it looks cool having your phonebook etc. on that screen. Other than I didn't go for full leather as personally I don't like it and prefer trims such as alcantars as thats what I had on my M3 CSL. Didn't go for comfort access either as again I thought it would initially be very cool but then the novelty wear off. I don't carry a briefcase or anything for work so day to day I would have my keys in my hand, although sometimes at weekends if I'm carrying my kids around it would've been nice to just open the car without getting my keys out of my pocket.Future add ons will include 18in wheels of some sort. I didn't go for them straight away as I wanted to be sure the ride with sports suspension and 17s would be ok before deciding. Will also maybe put carbon fibre dash trim at some point. Looking forward to it now. Money has been transferred. |

Offline | Great Specs!!! I am sure you cannot wait until Friday. I hope you will enjoy it and that it won't have any problems (hopefully they have sorted the production line....or so I wish as mine will be put in production soon). ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Sav112, I know detailing world, I am very anal about my cars. I almost start crying when I kerb a wheel much to the amusement of my wife. The thought of a car wash makes me sick. I think the dealer thinks I'm mad, I keep emailing him reminding him about things............make sure aero kit is put on properly, make sure ipod software is correct, keep all the std bits for me so that I can sell them later etc. etc. Car is being delivered to me lunchtime on Friday so will try and post some pics and a review over the weekend. In between I'll be driving it and reading the owners manual in detail to make sure I know how every little thing works. |
