Ok, so, I've taken the plunge and ordered my new S. Now it's time to plan for the fun stuff. However, since American tuners aren't offering many things yet, I'll have to stick to the exhaust...mainly the muffler. On my 05 S I have a single 18.5" long Supertrapp with 4" outlet and *I think* 2.5" inlet.

I LOVE the sound of the Supertrapp currently on my car. It's loud, obnoxious, and scares stray cats when I let off the throttle. So obviously, I must get a new one for the new car. And since I couldn't really just climb under the ones at the dealership (well, I could, but I didn't want to look a fool), I'm wondering if anyone here knows the diameter of the pipe right at the muffler or is kind enough to climb under their's and find out.

Sorry, i do not know. Maybe the guys from Alta performance can help you or Gabe from Whiteroof radio.

I think I'd feel a tad shady asking a tuner about the exhaust even though I wasn't planning on buying anything of theirs. Oh well, guess i'll just have to wait for my baby to be delivered.

Many are nice chaps so would probably tell you. Speak to Roland at GTTuning.com in UK as I think they have an R56 now, if not then try Lohen.co.uk and speak to nick or Andre as they are not selling exhausts yet but i'm sure they will have been looking into what can be done with it
