Offline | Delay in production? Hi I got told Thursday that my cars been delayed due to a quality control line going down, but apparently it was built so no worries it would come asap. But i've since found out it has a chassis number but isnt due to be built till wk13...next week. The guy i was dealing with has left and now i'm speaking to someone else who has no clue about a quality control problem. It was due at the dealers yesterday apparently now its due 30th of March ![]() Anyone know of any actual problems?! |

Offline | That's a bit harsh! There has been one issue which has led to delay in delivery of cars - this was totally outwith the factory's control as it was due to the delivery of a large batch of faulty components. angharad - I'm sure your car will be fine when it arrives ![]() Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | Am now being told there was no problem in the factory?! So not sure on what im being told now. Apparently on high priority for delivery end of next week...will be almost 3 weeks late by the time i get it. Does high priority mean it might be delivered before the 30th (give me some hope!!!! ) |

Offline | i dont know of any actual problems however i too am waiting for mine, it was supposed to be done week 16. but has been on high priority and have been told today that its in production. if there were some sort of quality control issue i doubt mine would be in production quite so soon. i feel your pain about the waiting, had to sell my mini one at the start of the month to get as much cash as poss. luckily got 500 quid more than the part ex (get in). and it seems like its been an eternity |

Offline | When is week 16? I don't know how to match dates with Week productions. I think that even if there were some quality controls that need to be updated, they may not want to say it to the customer. I think that people tend to look for faults when they know that there were some quality problems at the plant. |

Offline | Hopefully mine will be like yours then SmartBomb. Maybe there was a delay because I wrote down that mine was a Week 12? But mine just went into production today. The original order date was Feb 19, so it's been a month for my order to get to production. Does this sound right? |

| Bring the noise | Not sure about delivery times, but I ordered mine back in August and had hoped to pick up for launch weekend. Due to it being LB I had to wait unti December and collected on the 22nd. So was quite lucky, everyone says it's worth the wait and I'll second that. I don't see why so many people are knocking it. The quality and design are 1st class and I just love mine to bits. |

Offline | I didn't spec the 6 disc changer and the Storage package come standard for me. Since the new key fobs are really "keys" then I guess the new glove boxes aren't lockable? I really love Mini too, but one thing I hate is that they changed the standard 3spoke steering wheel to 2 spoke. And for some reason automatic wheels are different from manual-transmission wheels? I don't understand this, I thought that steering wheels were steering wheels. |
