Offline | does the sport package include the thicker anti roll bars? From what I know, sport package consists of xenon, bigger rims and DSC. I think there is a separate sport suspension package that adds the stiffer springs and the thicker anti roll bars. Can someone correct me if im worng ![]() |

Offline | Just checked MINI usa. Sport Suspension comes with the thicker bar . According to my parallel importer here, my car comes with the sport suspension package. I hope the information he told he is accurate Get the DSC. You might need it during emergency situations |

Offline | My Z3 had the DSC and it was rather invasive for me. Z3 is a RWD so throttle oversteer is more likely to happen than in a MINI (FWD). However, I one time rolled a new beetle by spinning out on a freeway exit ramp. DSC might have saved the car... I guess I could leave it off most of the time unless the weather's bad. |

Offline | I find the DSC maddening, just when your begging for a burst of power and you mash the pedal absolutely nothing happens (the computer saves me from myself). Im happy that the cars other driver has it available but I find myself swearing everytime I forget to turn it offf. |

| MINI2 Newbie | I have a similar question. Does anyone know how thick are the a-rollbars on the sport suspension? I had it ordered, but I am not sure if it has been fitted on my car. I had a chance to look under the car the other day and measure the thickness of the front a-roll bar. It was 24mm. ![]() Regards, Damir |

Offline | On miniusa.com, the description for the sport suspension said nothing about shocks or springs; just that it has thicker sway bars. 1mm more of swaybar front and rear will only be slightly noticeable, and that's if you know how to feel out a car. If you don't plan on doing autocrosses in a stock class at a national level, you won't miss the upgraded option. |

Offline | copying from a previous thread (post#63): http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-w...ml#post2898293 According to the realoem site, the Cooper R56 has a 23.5 mm front bar and 18 mm rear bar for Sport Suspension, and a 21.5 mm front bar and 16 mm rear (same part number here as the 1st Gen SS bar) for regular (non-Sport). The Cooper S R56 has a a 23.5 mm front and 18 mm rear bar for Sport suspension, and a 22.5 mm front and 17 mm rear bar for regular (non-Sport) They also list different strut part numbers for the regular vs. sport suspensions. realoem doesn't list spring applications, but I'd be willing to bet they're different for the Sport vs. the regular. |
