Pitstops Driving School in Stratford on Avon have an R56 Cooper about to join the fleet, replacing a MINI One 56 Plate which now needs a new gearbox as first gear has all but dissapeared completely.
Pupils are waiting for lessons deliberately so they get to drive in the new Cooper, and as has been mentioned before, the majority of pupils are girls. First time Pass rate is >95% since the MINI's have been used. Is there a coincidence or is it the car ?

i can not read this thread without wanting to pick up the phone to the European court of Human rights.

It hurts me to know that innocent Mini Cooper S's are being abused and molested by learner drivers. Come on people we can stop this if we all try, stop the suffering of another poor mini.

Drivnginstructor01 - i hope you are proud of yourself, do you feel big by encouraging this abuse of a mini. Not to mention one so young, not even a month old. I can't take it no more........

Not all learners are cr@p drivers you know!

I would think people who have been driving years are sometimes worse, picking up too many bad habits!

Nice looking S though

No, not all learners are crap drivers Ive had the Shogun since I was 14, 2 years ago, and nothing has been replaced, and thats even when its being abused off-road. Gearbox, clutch, windscreen etc are all factory std, and 18 years old

hi drivinginstructor001 nice looking S

Great car the S to teach lots of low down torque , ive had mine since last aug ,(teach in Gloucestershire area) after using both the older mini diesel (04)then a cooper (05) then buying a MCS (06) , only down side the ride comfort with all the speed bumps around here it seems to shake the car to bits , . also teach b+e training in a d3 which just flattens speed bumps .
Will be the selling the MCS at the end of this week as ive ordered a new cooper diesel for delivery week april 15th

drivinginstructor001 ref the insurance who are you with because that sounds a bit steep ?

Jay

Now Cooper D 07, prev mini d 04, cooper 05, mcs 06 arriving soon mcs 08

REPLY to lab-monkey

I insure the car with equity red star though C&A Mackie a specialist in adi insurance it was the lowest quote i could get the others were £1,050 and £1,300.
I was only paying £350 to cover my 05mc, thats with 13 years ncb, all the brokers i phoned apart from three would not give a quote because the cost of the car was above £16,000 or the group was too high, who do you have your MCS insured with?

Its good to see that there are other ADI`s in this forum, I think i will start an ADI roll call to see how meny members are on here.

PS Thanks to 118 for putting my photo on as a thumb nail, i don't know how to do it.
