Scone i agree better to play it safe as you know dealer's think it's great when you spec up telling you it will sell your car better then they go to trade guide and look at trade standard or Chilli pack and don't add for extra kit never mind i bet you enjoyed choosing and buying your extra's and enjoyed when you had the car. how does the new car compaire in your view as i'm new to mini but had 3 BMW's and been very good been keen on new mini from 2001

The new S is bit more grown up than the last and they have cured pretty much all the things that made me sell the last one, namely really poor brakes, harsh ride , rattles , poor traction , poorer traction control and poor fuel consumption. The new S is'nt as good looking , but the new one is still a great looking car and i'm quite happy with that as I know why the changes were made and if that makes the difference between life and death for someone unfortunate to end up on the bonnet of my car then it's a price worth paying. The new S could do with a bit more engine noise in the cabin as when you give it some beans you often find yourself looking down at the speedo to realise that your in ban territory, where in the last Mini there was a lot of noise, but it was never as fast as you thought it should be. All in all absolutely chuffed to bits with the new car .

Scone thanks for that i had test driven the old car for an hour and i felt the raw feel compaired to the hour and had in the new MCS the seats in the new car felt far better, but the noise was not , i have a BMW 330D Sport i got in dec 06 and it's great with bag's of torque and i think the new MCS is good in this area, but with the BM so quiet and as you say licence losing speed when blip the thotle, the new car's ment to be for my wife but i think she's thinking it's a new toy for me , and i'm ten times more excitted waiting for our new mini than the BM

Thanks Derek, It looks much nicer after dealer detailing. But it will look even nicer still when my friends details it properly.

I'm getting the spots attached on Monday and had the windows tinted the other day.
As soon as he's all washed, I'll post some more pics.

The lounge leather is beautiful. I love the smell when I open the door and its such a nice soft leather. They are 1000 times better than the seats in my 04 Cooper

All my life, I have searched for a car that feels a certain way.
Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball. Now, at last, I have found it

I've had Henry a little over one week now. What a miracle this car is! Everyone that takes a ride comments on two things: how great it looks, and how solid it feels.

You should start a Chili Red Roll Call in the Cooper Section. And what a car to start off with Loving the Blasters in White

Hi xxx4yz, that looks absolutely fantastic. My car is pretty much the same including carbon fibre bonnet duct and tailgate handle but I don't have the 18 in wheels. Can you let me know where you got the 18in wheels from, how much they cost and also are they with run flats? Is the ride very hard and do you have sports suspension? I guess if I binned my run flats then maybe the 18in wheels with non run flats will make the car ride as it does now.

Hi, yes 18inch wheels with run flats on them. I paid £1500 for them fitted (hahaha) and kept the flamespoke ones, and then sold them so with the money i got for the flame spokes I guess they worked out at around £1K.

As for the ride, well it does get a bit shaky on bumpy roads but I dont mind. 1. It looks the dogs with them on, and 2 it goes round corners and handles like its on rails!!

So overall I would have them if you dont mind a few bumps now and again.

PS It has sports suspension too !

Dave.

Where did you get them from at that price mate? PM me if you prefer. Did you sell the Crown Spokes on Ebay or on the classifieds here?
