To all r56 lightning blue owner. I'm the one who loved the previous model 'hyper blue'. Now i'm deciding for the colour between laser blue and lightning blue. The problem is there's no display car in my local. So, it's very hard to pick one by see it from the brochure. For the Lightning blue owner, are you satisfy with the colour? I like a car in strong and bring blue colour but after I viewed the member gallery I found LTB is turning to purple when the light is not enough. For hyper blue user, what is your final selection for r56?

I saw a lightning blue next to a hyper blue at the dealership the other day. If I were to order my car before the R56 was out hyper blue would be my color. They are very very close. I almost could not tell the difference. The lighning blue is just a tad deeper/darker but still a very beautiful color. It was rainy and and at dusk so I could not see the metalic in the paint that well.

Mini Lotto i think if you search the cooper s roll call i think i saw a few Lightning Blue one very nice one i think with black roof, i saw one at the weeked last all one colour and it looked to much as seems to look darker than Hyper as i used to love Hyper blue with white roof but must admit Lightning blue growing on me a car passed me last week and it was this colour and i liked it.

I have joked in the past and said that the designers at MINI came up with Laser Blue by mixing a sample of Electric Blue (discontinued) with a sample of Hyper Blue (discontinued)!

I'm driving a MCS with Laser Blue and when I read the bit where you said you like a car to have a strong colour I think you will be happier with Laser Blue. It really POPS in person. I know I am biased but having seen both of them in the flesh (so to speak) during the Guinness World Record day I am definitely satisfied with my choice!
