Offline | Man, I'm loving this car! I've really got nothing much to say other than wanting to express my enjoyment of my car over the first 700 miles and share some pics. It's a DS/W with the cold, premium and sport packages. Sport suspension, LSD, window tint, driving lights and a clearbra. Redwood red lounge leather, interior & exterior chrome kits and the MINI hi-fi system. Oh, yeah... and an Alta 4-inch stubby antennae! (shown in the last pic) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dealer owes me a set of web spokes. They're in, just need to make the time to go get them. Considering some viper-style stripes offset towards the driver's side. Possibly in a contrasting reddish-orange color to match the interior. We'll see... ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" Last edited by MINIAC : Apr 22nd, 2007 at 02:28 PM. Offline | And so you should love it msh441 - it looks really classy. In fact, I think it will be the colour of my next one, thanks for the pics Clear bra though? Is a full cover a condom? ![]() ![]() "He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River." |

Offline | Not that I've noticed. But I live right between Seattle and Vancouver BC and get pretty good reception from stations in both cities (each about 60-70 miles away). A big clear plastic adhesive mask up front to prevent rock chips on the hood, bumpers, lower bodywork and lights. Unlike a condom, it only covers the tip!![]() ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |

Offline | Starting again with DS/W........ Hi MSH441, hope you're still loving the car? Can I ask favour of you? Please can you post some more piccy's of your MINI? I'm just in the final throes of going through the rejection process (the engine noise issue), which the dealer has now accepted - so went in yesterday to spec up my replacement - it's going to be DS/W and I need a photo fix whilst I'm waiting Through past experience (and hindsight) I'm trying to keep the spec simple, so rather than chrome bits, leather etc I'm going down the LSD and yummy leather/suede JCW steering wheel route. Also specced anthracite R99's too. The Crown Spokes on my present LB/W R56 MCS are white - I'm not that keen on cleaning them every day Any pics of others with DS/W appreciated folks, ta in anticipation. ![]() "He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River." |

Offline | Sorry to hear about the rejection. I really hope MINI gets the tranny/flywheel thing sorted ASAP. Mine's been quiet, but I'm getting the impression the new Getrag box has borrowed parts from the 2001-2002 Midlads unit (read: KA-BOOM!). Well, I'll try and get some more pics soon. I just got the web spokes I originally ordered, so I'm motivated to get some new pics. Any specific requests? Oh, yeah! H&R springs on MINI's Sport Suspension. I highly recommend it. Not as nice as adjustable coilovers... but at 1/4 the price, the effect (both visual and driving) is pretty darn good for ,<$500 USD installed.Yep, worked with Tomio. Great buying experience. Have you checked out the Puget Sound owners group yet? Puget Sound MINI Motoring It really is. It's better in person, if you can believe it. I'm really glad I didn't see the Leatherette before buying, I would have gone the cheap route, for sure and ordered it (since it looks great in person). The lounge leather was a pretty big expense. But now that it's here and I'm sitting in it day to day, it's one of the things I love the most about the car. I'm so glad I did it. I'd love to see it in some other colored cars (Pepper White, Astro Black, BRG and some other bold combonations I can think of). ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. Offline | Thanks for that MSH, love the webspokes - and now I'm thinking about the sunroof again after seeing yours - what a great looking car. As for photo's, just some from each angle is fine; trying to suss out whether any type of stripes will suit it or not.......... So, as many creative pics as poss! Thanks again. ![]() "He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River." |

Offline | I'm thinking of a set of viper-style stripes, offset towards the driver's side running all the way over the bottom of both bumpers. I'm seriously considering a flat reddish-orange color, similar to the interior. ![]() ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike.
