United-States Next!

The past 2 days I have done a few things to ZERO7

1. Installed Hotchkis camber links

I went ahead and got these at an unbelievable price of $155 to fix the squatted looks after the drop with the H&R springs and keep tyre wear at optimum notch.

2. Installed JCW rotors

The R56S has the same brake system as the R53 JCW kit as standard. I did these mostly for looks, But I stayed with JCW as they are made of the same softer material as the OEM ones, great feel and stopping power.

3. JCW upper strut bar in place

I am not sure if these upgrade is really an upgrade but sure dresses up the engine bay and if by any chance I crash the car on either side front it will be totaled and I will need a new one

4. Removed bonnet strips and replaced with Sport Body Kit viper style strips OEM MINI

Most of the MINI's here in South Florida come with regular bonnet strips, and to me the MINI ownership is unique so make mine different. I like them better anyway.

5. Four wheel alignment.

I will recommend this to anyone who has lower its MINI its a must

diablito that is a fine looking S you have there! I'm curious about the Hotchkis camber links. I take it they give you more adjustment than stock for camber and so on, did you find you need to make the adjustments once lowered? or is it more of a luxury item and not really needed if i change the springs?

Also what exhaust have you had fitted?

Thank you.. Yes I wanted to keep the rear wheel toe as close as the factory as possible after I lowered the car with the H&R's I saw a considerable [to me anyway] negative toe, I just didn't want to wear tyres uneven and keep rotating constantly, I am not an aggressive track motorist, but I do like great corner handling, so i felt i will have more options once the car is lower if I had adjustable camber arms, and adjustable sway bar links which I am waiting for at the moment.

The exhaust is a MILTEK cat back and will add the DP shortly, sounds beautiful, elegant not ratty and the sound has actually changed after a break in period and going over 2000 miles on the car, it feels good."

You mention correcting rear negative toe but the end links fix camber not toe, no?

And just to confirm the fronts, you're within spec? You didn't need anything up front to do this?

Did you use the R56 JCW discs? and kept the stock calipers and pads?
