Offline | Picking up my DS/B today! Hi, Assuming no last minute issues, I should be picking up my new baby today! Its Dark Silver with Black roof and black bonnet stripes. Other spec: MFSW Chilli LSD DSC Auto Dim Mirror Rain Sensor Lounge Leather Darkened Glass Its a fairly modest spec (except the leather maybe), but I cannot wait! I am getting Mikey to sort out the audio. I will post pics etc when I can. Neil |

Offline | Sounds lovely.....ok...I picked the same colours so I would agree with that. Also have most of what you picked also ticked except the full leather. Also planning on getting Mikey to sort the stereo once I get mine. Can't wait to see the pics... |

Offline | Thanks for the nice messages but I just got a call. The insurance cover note has not arrived with the garage despite Direct Line sending it on Saturday. No cover note, no car. So unless there is some miracle about to happen (I dont think there are 'second post deliveries' anymore are there?), it wont be today :-( ![]() |

Offline | You could always get mini cover for 7 (free mini insurance for 7 days). Your dealer should be able to sort this out straight away. You are however only allowed to be insured by one person at a time, so if your other cover has started you would need to stop that cover for 7 days - which may be more hastle than it is worth! |

Offline | Normaly need the cover note to register the car... so will be stuck till it arrives. Went through similar when I got my last car, in end got multiple sets sent out to both dealer and myself...and all arrived same day (at house and garage)....even though supposidly post'd several days apart..... mmmm I think they saved up their post and only sent it out once a week. |

Offline | Apparently a fax will not suffice, which is really annoying as now im in limbo. I *assume* that the documents will arrive tomorrow but who knows? Plus I now need to insure my current car for an extra day (or several to be safe) which costs a bit of money. Its no-ones fault, and I dont mind spending a bit of cash to insure my current car - its just really annoying and frustrating. Anyone want to lend me theirs? ![]() |

Offline | Why not do this? You can always postpone your own insurance for 7 days, then you won't need to worry? Shouldn't be any hassle, I wouldn't have thought. Only thing is I think there is a £500 excess on the MINI 7 day cover and that's scary! |

Offline | Oops just saw this. It may be worth asking your dealer as I had similar problems with cover notes and my dealer said that MINI insurance would email them the cover note straight away and that was acceptable (only as it was MINI insurance though, they wouldn't accept an email from anyone else). |

Offline | OK, finally... Picking it up at 3pm today! I just hope the rain holds off here in Reading as I want to give the car a good look around. I have read a lot about the whole running in process - keep under 4500 RPM etc. Should I get up to 4500 today, or wait until its done a hundred miles or so? Thanks, Neil |
