Offline | Pretty much what MINICooperMurph said. But, to add a bit more information: My original '04 Cooper came with 7 miles on the clock; my Feb '07 registered R53 MCS (although it was built in June '06) came with 15 miles showing on the clock. I've just collected a new car for work and that came with 7 miles showing as well. Hope that helps. Tigger. ![]() May 08: Thanks to all of my friends on Mini2 for a lot of great times over the last 4 years. In future I can always be contacted here! |

Offline | My Dealer said the car is delivered to their local BMW depot for a PDI by transporter from the factory. Once the PDI is completed at their depot, then it is delivered to the dealer for valeting again by transporter. I can only suppose therefore that the magic 7 miles is the result of moving on/off transporters, and testing of the car at the factory. |

Offline | Did a 100 miles today in pouring rain with positive results: - a) No water entered the cabin !! b) From the time I collected it from the dealers today and now, had 41.3 mpg c) Engine appears to be loosening up a little and is more responsive d) Fuel gauge indicators suddenly changed colour to red and a warning appeared on the computer...thought there was an electrical fault. Bought 9 gallons of V-Power and realised the dealer had not been very generous ! |
