Offline | MCS + LSD - Driving in Snow ? I know we don't get much snow in the UK, but have any members found that LSD improved the traction ![]() The area where I live is high up, and if there is snow then we have problems ![]() |

Offline | I have a 2006 JCW with the LSD & it wasn't that great in the snow with the factory 17" A/S tires... I thought the ASC would help but it didn't- In fact, the dealer told me to turn it off in the snow?!? I like the LSD in general, but the factory traction control kills power when you don't want it to & doesn't when you need it to kick-in. |

Offline | An LSD is the single most important thing to get you out of mud/snow, but it cant perform miracles! Effectively it doubles your traction. An open diff would jsut spin the wheel with least traction whcih is no good, but an LSD will transfer the engine torque to the wheel with MORE traction. Cleaver hey? Still if there is bugger all traction you still wont be able to move. |

Offline | Thanks Rocco9999. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac that is exposed to the elements, if there is snow there are problems because the gritters don't come here ! I am hoping the LSD will help. |
