cooper s tyre life

i dont suppose any one has needed new tyres on a cooper s yet ?

i have done 2500 miles and fronts have lost maybe 1mm and rears hardly anything

these are the dunlops

with the tyres being on the rather expensive side i want them to last as long as possible

do you think 18000 miles is possible

any r53 s owners how long do your tyres last

i know it depends on how you drive

im a drive normally type then when the mood grabs me hammer it

i think you can get about 15k from the front if you are relatively conservative with your right foot. The rears will give you 25k i reckon

I only get 10,000 miles from my fronts on my MINI one, well pretty much all cars I've had actually, it is 99% town driving though which I know makes a difference.

On my R53 MCS i got 27,000 miles (mostly motorway) out of the standard Dunlop runflats! Did switch them over (front to rear & rear to front) every couple of thousand though to try and get even wear...

I have done just under £8k on my R53 S, that was with Toyo's that have a softer compound though, 10/12k miles your doing well I reckon

When I traded my MINI ONE with 25k on the clock, there was still plenty of life left in all the tyres. I swapped the fronts to the back at about 15k miles. These were 15" non-runflats.

Our old R50 Cooper chew through a set after 10k miles - Our 17s on our R56 after 5 and a bit thousand miles seem to be shaping up very nicely. The Sorento we had before the Mini (2 ton 4x4) had 35k miles on the clock, and the tyres still had an easy 10-15k miles in them. 4x4 rubber is great...

...for off-roading, they are terrible on road.

Got 11,000 miles out of a set of 18" Dunlops on the front.

Rears still going strong (moved to front) at 15,000.

Up to 8,000 miles at the moment.

there seems to be tred on them all okay - had one replaced on monday, due to puncture, but I don't think that counts?
