Clutch biting point

I've just moved from an R53 Cooper to an R56 MCS and so far very happy with the car. There is a big difference with the clutch biting point which is very high in comparison with the Cooper, in fact it seems very high full stop.

Does this sound correct? Have others experienced this?

Thanks.

Driving the R56S with Sports Button OFF seems to increase the amount of movement of throttle, steering and clutch before a response is felt.

The opposite applies with it ON. Overall I prefer to drive with it ON !

There are advantages with it OFF : -
a) A new owner getting to know the car.
b) Female drivers !
c) If snow/ice are present
d) Improved fuel consumption
