Hi guys,

im new to this site even though iv been looking it after a recommendation from a close friend over the last couple of weeks. I have just ordered a new R56 S which is due to arrive on a march 1st del on an 08 plate. The spec is below and I would be extremely greatfull if you guys would advice me if there are any essential extras im missing out on or any listed which are not deemed very necessary before its too late! Also any extras that will help it be more desirable for second hand purposes!

Hi Chillipack welcome to Mini2 , first question i have is how can you wait that long to get a car with that cracking spec sorry to say at may drive you crazy we waited 2.5 months and after joing this great site it felt even longer looking at all this nice car's hope the wait is not to bad and the car is as good as you expect it to be, your Mini adventure will be starting next year, all the best.

Yeh its your right that its gonna be a tough wait - but something to look forward right! the main reason why im getting it in march is because of my insurance - as im under 21 its an arm and a leg so when i turn 21 in feb it goes down quite a lot and i thought i might aswel wait another month to get an 08! thanks for the warm welcome!

Nice spec But which aero kit are you getting - the standard MINI one or the JCW? The JCW one is only a couple of hundred more than the other and so much better looking

lot of what you ordered you will get very liitle money back for come trade in... but then again I believe you should buy the car / spec for yourself and not for the next person. So how much did that lot set you back ?

For max residual value you would add probably chilli pack and nothing else.

Welcome to MINI2!! Looks like a great spec The spec you've got there will not necessarily add to the value of the vehicle individually, but, as more than one it should bump it up a little. Also, all the little things make it so much easier to sell. i.e. the LSD with someone wishing to buy an MCS then fit the JCW kit to it. The LSD is pretty much essential in any hot hatch being used to the limit, especially on track.
