Offline | ^^ Yeah everything that I blacked-out was painted using a urethane spray can (called Wurth's; search online for it, I promise it will be there). The prep work was as follows: lightly sanded, cleaned with ammonia (windex), then 4 coats of black paint and 2 coats of clear coat enamel for protection. (Headlights) To remove parts you should lift up the bonnet and look underneath you will notice little brackets (i guess you could call them that) that hold the headlight bezel (the trim). There is a slot in each holder and you should put a miniature flathead screwdriver in and push away to unlock each piece. Notice how each holder locks into place b/c I found out that it is easier to put them back on the trim first then just press the trim down back onto the spot on the bonnet where they go after you have painted them. |

Offline | Now thats my idea of looking good. ![]() Also, you've done what I was planning - Aero kit minus the rear bumper (V Ugly IMO) Not a great fan of the completely dechromed look myself, but thats what mini's are all about - something for everyone. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | [quote Also, you've done what I was planning - Aero kit minus the rear bumper (V Ugly IMO)/quote] Cant take the credit for this as the dealer cocked up the aero rear bumper ,so i had to take it 3/4 finished.Did like it with the standard rear bumper though, its now fully kitted and also has a chrome air scoop, just gives the front end a bit of bling ![]() ![]() ![]() |
