Specing a MCS - advice needed

Hi Everyone!
this is my first post here- i've just sold my 1er and am to purchase a MCS through my business. All I need is the basics and something I can live with driving everyday - so in terms of options i'm thinking of
  • metallic black
  • crown spoke wheels
  • bluetooth
  • lsd
  • manual AC
  • Maybe the rain sensors
  • Maybe the black headlining
Are there any other options that are a must? eg chromeline interior / exterior (and whats it look like without it?) The car is going to be branded up with our company livery so i'm not sure if this really matters. Light pack - do I need this? Black headling - think this rocks - should I get it? Visibility pack? Ive been told not to get the sports suspension for city driving.

Any help would be appreciated - am I missing any musts - or am I getting anything uneccessary?

I'd always recommend bi-Xenon headlights, unless you're already getting them in the Chilli pack.

Get yourself the configurator CD if you want to see what all the options look like.

I'll try and get a quote with and without chili pack - but i think it dosent add much value to me. I had Xenons on the 1 series, and loved them - but not sure how necessary they are on the mini.

IMO, every Cooper S should have...

Chilli Pack.
Sport Suspension.
LSD.

And these extra's will make it easier to sell when you're done with the car. Who's going to buy a second hand MCS without the Chili Pack?

C/C on a Mini, what for?!? Unless you spend time on a motorway there really isn't much point, and to be honest if you spend that much time on a Motorway I'm not sure the Mini would be the car of choice...

I 100% agree with T&P about the Chilli, SS and LSD.

Speeding has never killed anybody, suddenly becoming stationary... that's what gets you!

Cruise control excellent for all the average speed cameras... great way to set the speed and forget about trying to stay under the speed limit.

MFSW works well with the iPOD kit...good way to skip through the tracks..

Spot-on Fergus. Also, the MINI has been an excellent choice for motorway driving - comfortable, powerful, sensible gearing and spread of torque, doesn't provoke inferiority complex in drivers suffering from poor-lane-discipline-itis.

The xenons on the R56 are great. The dip beam looks like the main beam on my wife's Beetle. IMHO they are much better than the halogen/xenon combination that was on the R53 that I had previously. I wouldn't be without them.

I have the non-sports suspension with the 17" wheels, and I think it's fine if your daily drive does not include a lap of Brands Hatch. It's plenty firm enough to have some fun with, but your teeth don't fall out on white lines in the road.

Now proud owner of a 2007 Cooper S!

I personally think that the 3 Spoke wheel is smarter than the 2 spoker. Only £80 to change too.

A wet dream can only become a reality if you chase it...
