I test-drove a cooper s, and i swear i saw the redline set at 6,500. but in topgear.com, there´s at least two articles that say its 7,500. what´s the redline in your countries?(i live in mexico)

I wish it was 7500rpm!

It is 6500rpm.

To be honest you don't need to go there because of the character of the engine. Max power comes in at a lowly 5500rpm, although you'll reach 6500rpm in 1st and 2nd pretty easily.
