Waiting for delivery !! Tell me ive done the right thing.

I ordered an MCS last month and am expecting delivery at the end of this month. After looking at all the good info on this site im hoping i made the right choice. There seems to be a lot going wrong with MCS's i hope i dont get a problem child.
Tell me ive done the right thing ordering one.

Had a TT from new for 5 yrs and never had a thing go wrong ( not a squeak, rattle or anything ).
Seems a few unfortunate owners have had problems, i wonder how many have been perfect.

Don't panic Kindu! You always get the problems/negatives of any car in droves on every car forum. However, I guess for every problem reported here, there are 99 other MINIs that are spot on most probably.

In another way, at least you're aware of the "possible" problems. It isn't every car and I have great faith my new MCS is going to be ace .

Rest assured you've made a good purchase, plenty of people on here for advice on any issues or queries you may have too.

Check out the dealer feedback forum for finding a local dealer with a good rep for any warranty issues you may have in future, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

Good luck with the new car. As already mentioned every cars has its gremlins, but I must say the Minis general build quality won't match that of your Audi. They are great cars, but you can expect the interior to rattle at some point... probably in more than one place!

The faults and fixes section can be a scary place to visit, but its great when you do have a problem such as the cold start rattle that mine also suffers from.

On a positive note I have had my MCS since July 07 and the only rattles have been caused by the safety belt buckles in the rear. This was fixed by clipping them into the buckle instead of them dangling loose

Well thanks for the replies folks.
I guess ill find out for myself, i had a call on Thursday saying its been built and that i should take delivery next week.

I guess the thing to do is tell you the spec....(dont have the paper work in front of me so may miss things)

Cooper S Astro Black
Chili Pack
Sat Nav
Bluetooth/usb thing
MFSW
Hi-Fi
Limited slip
DSC
Tinted windows
Dark roof lining

Probably other things that i dont remember but thats the base of it, it sure does add up though. I could have loads of other cars for the price but i like how a mini can be personlised and finger x'ed it value better than others.

Will post pics when i get it.

Very nice spec! I'm expecting delivery on 31st March for my AB MCS with the JCW Aero Kit. I've got similar stuff, but gone for more exterior extras including the R109 alloys (to come a couple months after I pick mine up) and the JCW Carbon Spoiler.

As soon as I saw them on a MCS I saw similar to mine and on the car I test drove, I just have to get them as they match with the JCW Aero Kit lovely .

Good luck with your car. I know there will be a few here getting AB MCSs at a similar time to when I'm getting mine..... everyone should expect an AB pic overload .
