I've just placed an order for a MCS, estimated delivery 22-June. Can't wait.

Has anyone come across the "Hammer & Coop" mini movies on you tube? If not ,check em out they're really funny - It's a knightrider spoof with the KIT role being played by an R56 MCS (Episodes 1 to 6, plus a music video).

I was originally told a delivery date of mid-July, but on the paperwork it states 22-June. I think I'll take that with a pinch of salt as not to get my hopes up.

Hammer and Coop are amazing. You should spec your S like Coop. I nearly did until my other half told me to grow up. Still wish I had done it though.

I wish they would hurry up and start production on my car, as the more I read through this forum the more I keep changing my spec. 24hrs after placing the order I added the visibility pack, a week later, limited slip diff, yesterday morning swapped the retro fit ipod kit for the basic buetooth/USB package, yesterday afternoon upgraded to full bluetooth/USB package (worked out only 40 quid more than the basic because I already had Chili pack and MFSW). Now toying with the idea of dropping the HiFi speaker package and going for Mikeythemini's audio upgrade.

Once they start production on a car how long does it typically take to reach a UK dealer? I'm guessing the 22-June is looking a little too optimistic now.

I was told it usually takes around 4 weeks in production, and then another week or so to deliver and check it over. So if you are still changing you're order, it sounds like it hasn't started yet, so 22nd June does seem a little optimistic. Mid July would be a more fitting timescale. I hope for your sake, it is 22 June. I remember how painful the wait is. I had to wait 3 months as it takes an agonising 6 weeks boat ride just to get it here.

In the UK the car will generally be at the dealer within a week of being built, then say another week to get it PDI'd and any extras fitted So if its being built next week, then there should be no doubt about you having it for 22nd June unless your dealer is really busy

I know of at least 2 more people's cars being built next week and a similar delivery date as you

Our R56 was at the dealer, PDI'd, and delivered within 2 days I'd allow anything up to a week though to add bits and pieces and (god forbid) if anything was not quite right

I'm glad I don't have to wait for a 6 week boat ride - that must have driven you crazy.

I think sub-consiously I keep changing my spec just to check if production has started yet . Adding sports suspension is my latest consideration

At last got to pick mine up yesterday week earlier than expected

we picked up ours yesterday as well. Over the moon with the car, although it needs to go back as the steering wheel is not centered.
Just need to be sensible for a bit while we run it in...

we placed our order on the 12th of April. The car did arrive at the dealership on the 21st of may but on just been able to pick it up.

I'm now being told that my build date is week commencing 30-June , so I'm pretty sure I won't be getting it 22-Jun . This waiting lark doesn't get any easier.
Drove past the dealer today, and they had a used MCS with the JCW Aero Kit on the forecourt, I love the look of those side skirts - I can see more expense on the horizon

Im picking up mine this weekend (at least I think I am ) 6 weeks in total from ordering to picking up
