Offline | The MINI Driver Training is not a new thing in Germany. I was talking to one of the drivers who takes the BMW and MINI driver training when we test drove the Works GP. Sounds excellent fun. I've attached the German PDF here. I know Irish dealers already have brochures (large ones) with fabric samples etc. thay can show and the UK dealers should get these very soon also. Also, your UK dealer will be able to place orders on the system officially on Monday 21st August for the new model. As far as I'm aware 18th November is still the expected day of "launch" and first vehicle collections in Europe and UK. I've had this for a while too, but didn't want to spoil all the official stuff: http://www.mini2.com/pdf/MINI_options.pdf Might be of interest? |

Offline | Paul: A few questions.... I see on you list which is fantastic bit of information BTW that Checkmate, Parklane, and Seven are still options on that list. Does this mean this will be available on the new model or on the old style convertibles? It says Silver roofs but I thought the Silver roof option was being dropped for the new ones? I'd love a silver roof with say the lightning blue or Nightfire red!!!! I loved Parklane seats (english leather) will these be available in any of the new models? |

Offline | Nice, Who was speculating about the "sport button" thing earlier... Like some kind of push-to-pass... Because it's on that list "sport button (4UF)" direkteres Ansprechverhalten von Lenkung und Gaspedal errr. More direct response from steering and accelerator.Whatever that's supposed to mean in real terms ![]() Ben |

Offline | No idea, because it's been confirmed and published on MINI2 and elsewhere that the sport button simply changes the steering (makes it heavier/more direct) and the throttle response. |

Offline | Re: 'Sport Button'. Loads of new info is now on www.mini.co.uk Its says (I think its for Cooper S only) "the new sport button instantly gives a more rapid response to pressure on the accelerator pedal as well as provider a tighter and more direct steering response" I particularly like the new 'switch colour lighting' option which allows you to change the interior ambience colours with five different shades. ![]() |
